Speaking of lists, have you read the great short story To Do by Kate Walbert?

I LOVE a list. My original blog was called Gillian's Lists! One of my favorite Instagram accounts is Italian grocery shopping lists https://www.instagram.com/insta_della_spesa/

Your newsletter brings such joy every week! I never know what to expect even though you have categories and I’m always smiling as I read it! Thank you for the early morning joy in Portland and a couple new book suggestions! I am also a major list maker and laughed aloud reading those two and had to look at the site! I have kept small notebooks of my grocery lists/menus that I just can’t throw away! Someday someone will trash them but maybe get some joy seeing my handwriting and remembering my passion for cooking for them! 😍 Thank you for your lovely thoughts and suggestions! ❤️

Thanks for another thought-provoking blog, complete with lists. I have lists all over the place as well. Lists extracted from lists. I know of what you speak. I didn't see a link to "buy a coffee" this time, incidentally. "Family Lore" and "After the Funeral" are now on my reading LIST. Thank you!

I share your enthusiasm for the performance jogger (no shame in that game!) and lists. Thanks for the link to the shopping lists archive. What a fascinating peek into grocery habits!

For a while now, I automatically tune into MHZ Choice every night. I'm hooked on Maigret. I love the nitty-gritty, no nonsense mysteries. Even more than the narrative, I love sitting in my living room and listening to folks bantering in French.
