Natalie--loved how rich this was! And that improv prompt--“How would you act if the world was kind to you” now is my morning writing response. Thank you for all of this and love love love the haircut 😍🤩 and you! ❤️
I also have shied away from Demon Copperhead despite loving Kingsolver… but okay, reading and talking about it with you? Yes. Count me in! And a resounding yes to a January reset in person … so hopeful! 😊
Hi Natalie: I'd be interested in a Demon Copperhead read-a-long. It's been sitting on various tables in my home waiting for me to have the fortitude to read it. LMK. THANKS Lisa Reynolds Lreynolds1114@gmail.com -- Thanks for another great newsletter. I missed BK/JW because it was the day I returned from ITALY!!!!
Hi Natalie. I have been staying at Demon Copperhead on both my “real” book shelf and on Audible list since it was released. I even bought a new copy of David Copperfield at that time, thinking I’d do a true deep dive.
Have accomplished neither. Would love to joint the read a long...and am so interested in getting my writing on track as well - but, first, to read again.
It’s been difficult since lockdown for me to settle my mind enough to do what was once my savior...
I recently moved from Illinois to Austin TX to be closer to my daughter and family and know no one!
I've had so many friends suggest Demon Copperhead to me but I've felt exactly as you wrote, reluctant to pick up a book with "opioid addiction, and more pain, sorrow, loss." Like you, I didn’t have it in me read it. But reading and talking about it with others, ok, I can do that. Please add me to your list.
hope! it's our j.o.b.
