One of the bitter-sweet realities of travel! I only travel with hand luggage so my "treasures" are usually limited to a post card or a book :). The teaspoons though.... a possibility?! Love all the photos.
The mercatino is my favorite thing! I just started collecting slightly terrible oil paintings of Venice for a long bare rectangle in my upstairs hallway. Having such a specific focus makes the hunt so much fun.
